Description
The Rubber Fab Sock Screen Camlock Gasket is designed with a 316 stainless steel mesh sock, offering up to 5 times more open area for 5 times more soil collection capability than conventional screen gaskets. This unique sock design assures a tight fit while allowing continuous fluid flow and filtration. It is available in EPDM or FKM gasket materials. The sock insert features a 16-mesh stainless steel design, available in 1.5in or 6in lengths.
This sock screen gasket provides greater flow for situations where a large amount of particulates are involved. Due to the large capacity and open screen area, sock screens require less service, reducing downtime and costly change-outs, which is a major consideration with in-line pharmaceutical processing.
When used to protect expensive processing pumps and equipment from foreign matter, sock screens effectively decrease pump wear and burnout while increasing energy conservation. When used in the transfer of liquids from a bulk tank to a tank truck and vice versa, sanitary sock screens are specifically designed for high volume applications with low pressure drop.
