The Rubber Fab Tuf-Flex Unitized Tri-Clamp Gasket is specifically designed to meet critical requirements in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, ultrapure water, and WFI (water-for-injection) applications. It is a sanitary gasket designed with a PTFE surface layer grafted to an EPDM or FKM rubber inner core. This fully bonded construction provides an exceptionally pure and incredibly flexible seal. By grafting the elastomer with a layer of PTFE, Tuf-Flex behaves like an elastomer while preventing product contamination, service interruptions, and clean-up costs associated with traditional elastomer seals. Tuf-Flex also imparts no taste or odor, making it an ideal gasket for the food and beverage industries.
