Description
The Rubber Fab Biological Indicator Tri-Clamp Gasket enables the use of a self-contained biological indicator in sanitary process lines. This unique silicone gasket allows for either top loading or inline positioning of an EZTest self-contained biological indicator or a temperature probe. Sizes are available for 1, 1.5, and 2-inch tri-clamp process lines, with an optional smart port.
The biological indicator gasket is designed to secure the biological indicator and prevent it from becoming lost downstream in the process. This smart gasket is a fail-safe solution that offers easy retrieval when the testing process is complete.
A great advantage of a self-contained biological indicator over the traditional spore strip in glassine is the time saved when confirming spore kill. Results are easily obtained in only 24 hours (versus the five to seven days required with a spore strip) and without problematic laboratory transfer.
